U.K.T.I. Annual Taekwon-do Tournament

Declaration: 

I understand that there may be some risks to my health and wellbeing by taking part in the tournament. I acknowledge that as part of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, I must always be responsible for my personal wellbeing. I will wear appropriate head, hands, feet and teeth protection,  if male a groin guard, and if female a chest-guard. I will also recognise that United Kingdom Taekwon-do Initiative (UKTI) will ensure, wherever practical, that allrisks are considered and minimised within the tournament areas. There is currently no reason why I cannot participate in this event and I confirm I am currently the holder of a valid licence (we may check on entry) I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the UKTI. As a condition of acceptance to this event I agree not to hold UKTI, theOfficials, my instructor or any students responsible for any injury I may sustain at this event. I certify and confirm that Iwill accept all of the decisions of the Officials and that all of the above is correct. Please note the information provided will only be used for the purpose of this event. We will be taking photos at the event that may be used for promotional materials / social media. You MUST inform us in writing before the event if you DO NOT wish photos to be taken.

  

Competition Rules:

  1. We will be following the original ITF rules (including the 5 and 4 points for flying 360 and flying 180).

  2. We will not be using the mandatory special technique (180 or 360).

  3. Referees will not stop the round to declare 5 or 4 point scores.

  4. Two hand technique rule will apply.

  5. If there are insufficient numbers on the day, categories may be merged, (parents and students will be notified)

Important information

Car Parking - Leys Pools & Leisure Centre in Oxford, UK has a free, open-air car park that's Pay and Display. Only the first three hours of parking are free. 

Coaches meeting - 9.30 - 9.40am

Up to 2 coaches per club are to attend, only coaches listed on the day will be able to appeal if required. 

Umpires meeting9.50 - 10am

There will be a ten minute umpire meeting.

 

BTC Licence

These will be checked on the day, if a competitor does not have a licence, a temporary one can be purchase before the event. Contact Master J. Alleyne at oneukti@hotmail.com for details.
